This is an appeal from the denial of an application for postconviction relief filed pursuant to G.L. 1956 (1985 Reenactment) chapter 9.1 of title 10. The petitioner, George S. Brown, was convicted of first-degree murder on June 28, 1982 and is presently serving a life sentence at the Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI).
