On July 24, 1986 the State filed a bill of information charging the defendant John Howkins a/k/a John Hawkins and a co-defendant with illegal possession of stolen things, to wit: a 1984 Cadillac valued in the amount of five hundred dollars or more. At the trial held October 30, 1986, a jury found the relator guilty as charged. The State filed a multiple bill of information on November 7, 1986.
