Defendant, Clayton Runck, Jr., appeals from a district court order denying his motion for dismissal of the criminal charges against him. On appeal and in his motion for dismissal, Runck contends his motion should have been granted because the State denied him a speedy trial under the Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments of the United States Constitution and Rule 48(b) of the North Dakota Rules of Criminal Procedure.
