We granted Debra Evans' application to appeal an order of the Juvenile Court of Walton County transferring custody of her minor daughter to the child's father, Wain Stowe.

The parties were divorced in 1982, at which time custody of the then 2-year-old child was awarded to the mother, and certain specified visitation rights were awarded to the father. In April of 1986, the father brought the present action in the Superior Court of Walton...
