The defendant, Richard D. Chiles, was charged with refusing to allow the inspection of pawnbroker's records as required by LSA-R.S. 37:1756, a violation of LSA-R.S. 37:1761. Following a bench trial the defendant was found guilty as charged. He was sentenced to serve thirty (30) days in the parish jail and to pay a fine of $100.00 and court costs.
