These cases are consolidated for purposes of appeal. Plaintiff instituted suit in Wayne Circuit Court against the City of Detroit and the City of Detroit Public Lighting Department for injuries he sustained while working on a light pole along Woodward Avenue in the City of Detroit. The circuit court granted defendant's motion for summary disposition. Plaintiff also instituted suit for the same injuries in the Court of Claims against the Michigan Department...
