Appellant Michael P. Lennon commenced this negligence action against respondent police officer Dennis Ward Pieper, claiming that Pieper caused him to be falsely imprisoned. Lennon claims that Pieper negligently completed an arrest/violation report which caused the sentencing judge to charge him with the wrong offense, and resulted in a five-day jail sentence.
