Defendants appeal by leave granted from a judgment of the district court in favor of plaintiff on his claims of false arrest, false imprisonment and violation of civil rights under 42 USC 1983. The trial court had directed a verdict in favor of plaintiff on those claims, while directing a verdict in favor of defendants on plaintiff's claim of malicious prosecution. The question of damages was submitted to the jury, which returned a verdict in plaintiff...
