Defendant was arrested in Laughlin, Nevada, and jailed in Las Vegas after the victim of a sexual assault recognized him as her assailant. Shortly after the arrest, Officers Robin Holmes and Anthony Rupple of Bullhead City, Arizona, traveled to Las Vegas to question the defendant about a series of sexual assaults which had occurred in the Bullhead City area.
