The issue presented by this case is whether the exclusive remedy of the dramshop act bars plaintiff's claim against defendant for the negligent supervision of an employee. We hold that plaintiff's negligence claim which arose out of the selling, giving, or furnishing of alcoholic liquor by a liquor licensee is preempted by the exclusive remedy of the dramshop act.
