The defendant was charged by substitute information with the crimes of sexual assault in the second degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-71 (a) (3),1 sexual assault in the third degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-72a (a) (1),2 and sexual assault in the fourth degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-73a (a) (1) (C) and/or (a) (2).3
