Appellant was convicted of escape from confinement, two counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He appeals on the general grounds.

The evidence disclosed that appellant was a guard at the Georgia State Prison in Reidsville, and purchased a .25 calibre Derringer pistol and 50 rounds of ammunition for the pistol. He test-fired the weapon and placed it in the trunk of his car. About two or three weeks later...
