Danny D. Goodroad (Goodroad) initiated this habeas corpus action against Herman Solem (Solem), Warden of the South Dakota State Penitentiary, on February 6, 1984. On November 8, 1985, the trial court signed findings of fact and conclusions of law in favor of Solem and against Goodroad.
