In March, 1984, plaintiffs filed a complaint in circuit court against Dr. Aurora Genoves-Andrews and in the Court of Claims against the State of Michigan, Department of Public Health, for the wrongful death of plaintiffs' decedent, Thomas Baltus. The defendant in each case was granted summary judgment on the basis that plaintiffs failed to plead facts sufficient to avoid the doctrine of governmental immunity.
