These three cases were tried together and consolidated on appeal. On January 25, 1984, a threejudge panel authorized the interception of wire communications of a person other than one of the defendants, in connection with an alleged large-scale drug operation. The period of authorized interception was from January 25, 1984 to February 8, 1984. Alan Barbary was not a target of the investigation, but his communications were intercepted pursuant to the wiretap...
