BACKGROUND

On July 3, 1986, a Superior Court in Washington entered a Decree of Dissolution in the marriage of the Debtor and Bonnie Stedman. The decree did not provide for any alimony, support or maintenance payments but did divide up the parties' property. As part of the settlement, the Debtor was awarded as his sole and separate property some realty which had been used as the parties' residence during their marriage...
