This is a direct appeal by the defendant, John Dean, from a sentence imposed following his plea of guilty to one count of misdemeanor criminal damage to property. K.S.A. 1986 Supp. 21-3720.

Defendant was extradited from Kalamazoo, Michigan, to face a charge of criminal damage to property to the extent of $150 or more, a class E felony. The return on the extradition warrant lists extradition expenses...
