Following a bench trial, defendant, Frank Ortiz, was convicted of armed robbery and sentenced to 12 years in prison. On appeal, he contends that: (1) he was not proved guilty beyond a reasonable doubt because the State failed to establish the elements of armed robbery; (2) he was not proved guilty of armed robbery beyond a reasonable doubt because the trial court acquitted him of burglary...
