Defendant was found guilty by a jury of murder (N.J.S.A. 2C:11-3a(3)), first-degree robbery (N.J.S.A. 2C:15-1) and second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4a). He was sentenced on the murder conviction to a 25 year custodial term with 12 1/2 years of parole ineligibility and on the weapon possession conviction to a consecutive 10 year term with 5 years...
