Defendant, Robert Lee Beckley, was convicted by a jury of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree, in violation of MCL 750.520b(1)(b); MSA 28.788(2)(1)(b). He brought a motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict or a new trial, which motion was denied in an opinion filed October 31, 1984. The Muskegon Circuit Court filed its judgment on November 28, 1984, sentencing defendant to serve not less than four nor more than twenty years in prison, with...
