This is an appeal by the defendant, Dr. William C. Manthey, from a money judgment of the Court of Common Pleas of Crawford County in a medical malpractice action in favor of the plaintiffs, Peggy Ann McBride, both as the wife of decedent Jerry McBride and as the administrator of his estate.

After the action was filed it was submitted to arbitration. On September 4, 1985, the report of the arbitration board was filed, awarding $30,000 to be apportioned...
