The plaintiff, Dallas Wildman, sued his employer, the Burlington Northern Railroad Company, under the Federal Employers Liability Act ("FELA" or "the Act"), 45 U.S.C. §§ 51-59, when he was injured in the course of his employment. The jury awarded him $160,000 in damages. He now appeals the district court's denial of his motion for prejudgment interest and to amend his complaint to request punitive damages.
