Kathy Sprague Grim was injured on July 2, 1981, during the course of her employment as a bartender at the Lucky Nugget Bar. Grim applied for and received workers' compensation benefits. On June 24, 1983, Grim filed suit against Anheuser-Busch, Incorporated, and Hensley and Company alleging that her injuries were caused by an exploding beer bottle that was manufactured, bottled, sold, and distributed by the defendants.
