METZGER, Judge.

Defendant, Terrance Joel Akers, appeals the judgment and sentence entered on jury verdicts finding him guilty of attempted escape and habitual criminal. He contends that the trial court committed plain error in failing to instruct the jury on the elements of escape; that the evidence was insufficient to support his conviction; and that the trial court erred in imposing a life sentence consecutive to his existing sentences.
