Plaintiff Afros, S.p.A. ("Afros") has sued Krauss-Maffei Corporation ("KMC") for infringement of its United States Letters Patent No. 4,332,335 ("'335 Patent"). KMC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Krauss-Maffei Aktiengesellschaft ("KMAG"), denies any infringement and counterclaims for infringement by Afros of its United States Patents No. 3,706,515 ("'515 Patent") and No. 3,975,128 ("'128 Patent").
