Danny Richards appeals a judgment entered against him for assault, a class B misdemeanor, in violation of Utah Code Ann. § 76-5-102 (1978). The trial court sentenced Richards to the maximum term of six months in the Salt Lake County jail and refused to give him credit for seventy-five days of presentence incarceration he served because of his inability to post bail.
