George S. McLean, a former employee of International Harvester Company, sought relief from International Harvester and several present and former directors and counsel of the company. McLean alleged, inter alia, that the defendants conspired to violate his civil rights, cast him in a false light, and neglected to indemnify him for legal fees in a criminal proceeding.
