This case is before the Court on a petition for an extraordinary writ filed pursuant to Rule 65B(b)(2) of the Utah Rules of Civil Procedure.1 The Utah Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists petitions this Court to overturn an order of the District Court for the Fourth Judicial District denying the public access to pretrial proceedings held to determine Ronald Watson Lafferty's competence to stand trial....
