OPINION
SCARBOROUGH, Chief Justice.
Petitioner was convicted of aggravated battery and as an habitual offender. He appealed, contending that the trial court abused its discretion in failing to excuse a particular prospective juror for cause, thereby compelling him to exercise a peremptory challenge, and thus violated his sixth amendment right to an impartial jury.
