This is an appeal by Gladys Geraldine McDonald from the trial court's refusal to grant her permanent alimony.

Appellant and William Joe McDonald were married in 1979. They separated July 1985; in late September of that year the parties stipulated to a judgment on rule awarding Mrs. McDonald alimony pendente lite in the amount of $250 for the month of September and $500 per month thereafter.
