On December 22, 1984 plaintiffs departed from New York to Madrid, Spain abroad Trans World Airlines ("TWA") Flight No. 904. The flight arrived in Madrid on December 23rd at 9:12 a.m. Plaintiffs then went to the Iberia Air Lines ticket counter for their scheduled Iberia Flight No. 119 which was to depart at 10:55 a.m. for Arrecife, one of the Spanish Canary Islands.
