In this interlocutory appeal, the state seeks review of the trial court's denial of its pretrial motions to obtain Alvin Taylor's past psychiatric treatment records. The trial court denied the state's motions because it concluded that the records were confidential and apparently that their disclosure was not authorized by statute.

We conclude that Taylor's past psychiatric records ceased to be privileged...
