DOOLEY, Justice.

This is a workers' compensation appeal brought by the employer. The Commissioner of Labor and Industry (Commissioner) awarded the claimant, Glenn Fleury, permanent total disability benefits for 330 weeks beginning on April 6, 1982. The injury giving rise to the award occurred on December 13, 1977. At the time of the award, the claimant had already received temporary total disability compensation from December 14, 1977 to April 6, 1982.
