This matter is before the court on the applications of numerous plaintiffs' and objectors' attorneys for an award of attorney's fees under the equitable common fund-common benefit doctrine, following settlement of this shareholders' derivative action. See generally, H. Newberg, Attorney Fee Awards, § 2.01 (1986). Understandably, the movants suggest a "lodestar" approach to the fee award issue...
