John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. ("Sanfilippo") has sued Consolidated Rail Corporation ("Conrail") under the Carmack Amendment, 49 U.S.C. § 11707. Sanfilippo alleges it is entitled under a bill of lading to damages caused by Conrail's failure to deliver Sanfilippo's goods with reasonable dispatch and in good condition.
