On May 18, 1986, the defendant, Leroy Williams (Williams) was issued a citation for driving while intoxicated in violation of R.S. 14:98. On June 17, 1986 a bill of information was filed charging Williams with the violation of L.S.A.-R.S. 14:98. The trial judge found Williams guilty as charged and sentenced him to a fine of $500.00, deferred, six months in parish prison, suspended and inactive probation for one year with the following special conditions...
