Petitioners, Diana R. Beard and others (Mrs. Beard), are all women who have filed claims in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy of A.H. Robins Company, Inc. (Robins). All of their claims relate to injuries they suffered from using the Dalkon Shield, an interuterine contraceptive device manufactured by Robins.
