FAY, Chief Justice.

The defendant, Charles Brown (Brown), appeals from a Superior Court jury conviction on a one-count indictment for the murder of Holly Boyd (Boyd). The jury found Brown guilty of second-degree murder in the slaying and he was sentenced to the Adult Correctional Institutions for thirty years. The court ordered him to serve the first twenty-five years of his sentence, it suspended the remaining five years and placed him on probation...
