Holmes appeals his conviction on one count of escape from federal custody,1 contending that the District Court erred in allowing him to be impeached by the admission of felony convictions obtained more than ten years before the time of the trial, and that the court erred by allowing the admission of two exhibits (by which the prosecution sought to explain the reason for Holmes's continued incarceration...
