OPINION

HARBISON, Justice.

This case involves the right of tenured teachers to preferential consideration for reappointment following abolition of their positions pursuant to T.C.A. § 49-5-511(b)(3).

This is the second appeal of the case. The facts are set out in the opinion of the Court of Appeals in its initial review of the case, Randall v. Hankins, 675 S.W.2d 712
