Eva St. Amant appeals her conviction of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, second offense, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:98. Defendants convicted of a second-offense DWI do not have a right of appeal to this Court because that offense is not triable by jury; their mode of review is by application for supervisory writs. Although this case is postured as an appeal, we will treat this as a writ application, according to accepted appellate practice...
