BACKGROUND

Plaintiff Maria Magdalena A De Ruiz is the widow of Arturo Ruiz. Co-plaintiff Barbara Zukowski is the wife of Charles Zukowski. Mr. Ruiz and Mr. Zukowski were construction workers who were involved in the construction of the Walnut Street Viaduct in Denver, Colorado.
