Plaintiff, Edward Ray Rutherford, filed this products liability action on August 4, 1983 against Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Shreveport, Inc., seeking to recover damages for injuries he sustained on September 9, 1982 after drinking a contaminated soft drink.
