Appellant Gary Wayne Taylor was one of a group of youths accused of robbing and beating an elderly couple in their home near Bloomington. Taylor, age sixteen at the time of the crime, was waived from juvenile to criminal court. He was convicted of robbery, a Class A felony, Ind. Code § 35-42-5-1 (Burns 1979 Repl.), and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment. His conviction was affirmed by this Court on direct appeal. Taylor v. State
