Petitioner John Patrick Sullivan challenges his Minnesota state conviction for first-degree intrafamilial sexual abuse, and seeks a writ of habeas corpus from this Court. The case was tried before a Minnesota district court sitting without a jury, and Sullivan was convicted of having anal intercourse with his four-year-old son.
