Plaintiff NYSA-ILA Container Royalty Fund is a trust fund jointly administered by labor (ILA) and management (NYSA) for the benefit of New York longshoremen. The trust fund was established following collective bargaining in 1968 as a means of compensating longshoremen for decreased employment opportunities resulting from widespread use of containerization shipping.
