Appellant was convicted of trafficking in heroin and was sentenced to pay a substantial fine as well as to serve a twenty-five-year minimum mandatory prison term.

At trial, the state introduced into evidence a tape recording which had been made during the drug transaction. Appellant had unsuccessfully moved, prior to trial, to suppress this evidence and objected, again unsuccessfully, to its introduction before the jury. Appellant's objection...
