Appellant Robert Kaess, was charged by misdemeanor information with killing three moose while possessing a license to hunt only one — an offense of wanton destruction of a big game animal. After a comprehensive preliminary hearing and a three-day jury trial, he was convicted of the high misdemeanor and sentenced to a one-year county jail term, fined $1,000.00, $15.00 for the victim's compensation fund, and, by a supplemental order, assessed...
