In this appeal, we are asked to review the district court's denial of the appellant's petition for a writ of habeas corpus, originally brought pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. The petitioner has alleged three grounds for habeas corpus relief: 1) ineffective assistance of trial counsel in violation of his sixth amendment right to counsel; 2) denial of his fourteenth amendment due process right to a fair trial because of the prosecutor's misconduct...
