Plaintiff Associated Metals and Minerals Corporation brought this action against Etelae Suomin Laiva for loss and damage to a cargo of steel shipped from Finland to the United States aboard the M/V Arkadia. The cargo consisted of steel coils and steel plates. It was loaded in the ports of Raahe and Helsinki, Finland, in December 1983. Discharge of the cargo occurred in Jacksonville, Florida...
